BURN SITE FIELD TRIP & PANEL DISCUSSION

When: March 7th, 2026

Burn Site Field Trip: 2:00 - 4:00 pm

Location: Sky Harbor Airport, 5000 Minnesota Ave, Duluth, MN 

Field trip: Visit the proposed burn location. The trip will include walking a total of approximately 1 mile over uneven terrain through the forest. A van will be available for a more accessible version of the field trip. Snacks and drinks provided. Field trip may be postponed in the case of inclement conditions. Panel Discussion and Q&A: 5:00 - 7:00 pm 

Location: Lafayette Park Community Center

Learn about the upcoming reintroduction of fire to Minnesota Point’s pine forest, hear from some of the people involved in the project, and have the opportunity to ask questions. A livestream of the panel will be available. A light meal will be provided.
