WI-MN Prescribed Fire Council Meeting

The midwest is home to rich fire-dependent ecosystems that transcend the borders between states, people, and cultures. To properly apply prescribed fire to these landscapes, we must do the same. Join us on January 9th and 10th to meet your neighbors across the fence and learn how we keep the grass green on both sides!
The 2026 Wisconsin-Minnesota Prescribed Fire Conference is a joint effort of the Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Council and the Minnesota Prescribed Fire Council. Fit for prescribed fire enthusiasts and professionals alike, the conference is a perfect opportunity to make new connections, gain both practical and academic knowledge, and discuss the latest prescribed fire efforts in both states.
Day 1 of the conference includes dinner, social hours, and the annual meetings of the Wisconsin and Minnesota Prescribed Fire Councils– it is also preceded by two optional morning workshops. Day 2 features a more classic conference schedule consisting of keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities.
