2024 Haul Away Day: Sharing the Responsibility


You Cut and Stack - We’ll Haul Away


This is an opportunity for residents along Lindbeck Road to reduce the risk of wildfire to your homes by implementing wildfire resiliency strategies. If you haven’t had a Firewise Evaluation done on your property please contact Gloria Erickson, St. Louis County Firewise Coordinator to schedule an appointment or watch “Tips for Backyard Wildfire Resiliency” at: https://youtu.be/u3kuhZ_0tkc.

Then you begin work on your property by cutting and stacking hazardous woody debris along your driveway and we haul it away at no cost to you. 

Haul away Event Details

When: Stacked piles need to be in place by Sunday Sept. 15th.

Where: The operator will begin haul away on Monday Sept 16th.

Please do NOT add to piles after this date.


Pile Guidelines

● Cut and pile your woody debris along your roadway or

driveway by the evening of Sunday September 15th.

● Piles must be stacked neatly with ends facing the road

● Please limit pile size to 5’x 5’ x 5’.

● No limit to the number of piles, please make sure they are not

obstructing traffic or under power lines.


What’s Acceptable?

Small trees, branches and limbs (balsam fir, spruce, brush) will be accepted.

Woody limbs and branches up to 6” in diameter.

No construction or building materials.

Piles only, no bags allowed.

No trash, weeds, root wads, dirt, or rocks

No grass clippings or bags of leaves

No household garbage
